SPS 5th Anniversary Photobook (2017-2021)
Five years ago, digital photography revved up unprecedented convenience in our lives, scientific research and news broadcast. Together with the emergence of the internet, fine-art photography entered an era of free expression and unbridled discourse, fueling the inception of the Society of Photographers Singapore (SPS).
In recent years, a group of enthusiastic volunteers, all self-made, busy professionals driven by a missionary passion in digital photography, joined the SPS. We are immensely proud of their contributions and achievements.
SPS advocates digital photography as a medium to focus on societal issues. The objective is to inculcate in our members independent thinking when creating fine-art photography. As the adage goes, it takes ten years to nurture a tree, but a hundred years to train a person. Our efforts gain recognition from society at large.
SPS has come a long way to attain what it is today and this would not have been possible without your kind supports. On behalf of SPS, I would like to express our deepest gratitude to community leaders, society members, and friends from all walks of life for these. I sincerely believe that everyone will continue to give us guidance, encouragement and support.
